We reached out to James over the weekend, he and the team were quick to respond. We were scheduled for an inspection and service the same week. After shopping for an HVAC professional in the area it was clear the Butler HVAC will be the only people we trust from now on. We received quotes from $9k to $28k from some of the commercial companies in the area. James was quick to discover the issue and replaced the necessary capacitor during the initial visit. He was patient with my questions and did not try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge or try to upsell me on a service I did not need. Thank you James! James was very professional, competent and responsive to our questions. He explained the issue, the plan to replace, the timing and cost in less than 15 mins. No boring 90 minute presentation - just the facts. We are now enjoying a more efficient heating system with fancy, updated thermostats.

James did a great job by diagnosing the issue with my 20 year old AC/heater, going over possible options regarding repair or replace, and ultimately replacing my old unit with a brand new one. Overall, I highly recommend hiring James for his professionalism, expertise, friendliness, and communication skills. James provided a free diagnosis and arrived within the timeframe we agreed upon. He came to the same conclusion as the other two companies I had inspect the unit, which was either to perform a complicated and difficult repair (not recommended) or to replace the entire thing (recommended). Out of the 3 companies that came out, James gave the quickest timeframe to come back out and replace the unit (within 5 days vs 2 weeks and not doing it at all). All 3 companies gave estimates for replacement in the same ballpark price wise so I decided to go with James. Throughout the entire process, he provided text updates (both automated and personal) notifying me when he’s scheduled to arrive, when he’s on his way to my house, and when the work is completed. Regarding the replacement, James arrived towards the back end of the initially agreed upon timeframe, and he updated me via text about when he would arrive, so there were no surprises or frustrations. His initial time estimate for the replacement was 4 hours, but it ended up taking around 10 hours. James and his installation assistant Nick were hard at work the entire time and had to deal with multiple issues regarding the previous installation of the old unit and its thermostat. In the end, everything is working perfectly, and he made sure to test each and every function of the new unit. The price estimate in the quote he gave me was still accurate despite the extra time spent to get the installation done, so I was very happy about that. I have a brand new, working AC/heater at a fair price in very short time thanks to James. I highly recommend him and his company.
We get ads all the time for people for people/companies that claim to know what they are doing. When we first moved in we used one of the ads to have someone come take a look. They gave an overpriced estimate with little promised. So we turned to Yelp, Google, and Next Door. There were no reviews on Next Door which we took as a good sign. Google had six raving reviews that did not seem contrived. And Yelp was also positive. They were right. We easily made an appointment. We scheduled a visit. The person was on time, professional, personal, and clearly knew their business. In the 19 years we have owned our home no one could get the air to come to the back bedroom properly, and now I have been sleeping comfortably for a week. We were given solid advice on how to maintain. We selected a service that fit our budget and needs and were not then surprised by any add-ons or upselling. It was legit and comfortable. He even took the time to explain some things when I looked curious. High Recommend. All providers of home services in our area from landscaping to internet could take a lesson from Butler Heating and Air. Thanks, Mitchelle & Brian
James is such a lovely person! We sent an inquiry because we turned our on heat and only cool air blew out. James was able to come check it out just a couple of hours later. He inspected everything and ended up replacing two solenoids. He shared with us all that he was doing as he did it and kept us involved every step of the way. While I admit I don't fully understand the inner workings of furnaces, I greatly appreciated his effort to make sure we were informed. Highly recommend him!
James was awesome! He installed a brand new AC system in my home in Temecula today and Thank God because it's going to be almost 100° today! He was polite, professional, great with my dog, and finished in the estimated time frame he gave me. Every room is ice cold! ❄️🥶 Thanks again James!
James was on time, actually came earlier as he was ahead of schedule. He checked to see if it would be ok to come early. He showed up on time, very professional and went above and beyond. Not only did he fix the issue but took apart the pipes and put them back together correctly then resealed them. It didn’t take him long at all, he got right to business. My wife and I are very satisfied and recommend his service. If we ever have any heating and air issues we know where we are going! Thanks James.
James was fantastic. I had an issue that he diagnosed and fixed right away for a very fair price. He found a couple other issues, too, and fixed those very inexpensively, as well. The responsiveness and work was incredible. Can’t say enough good things! Don’t bother looking any further or getting more quotes - just hire Butler!

If I could give more than five stars to James and Butler Heating and Air, I would. James replied to my late evening request for AC repair and was here on time the next day, communicating with me every step of the way. He quickly figured out and solved the issue, replacing a solenoid that a prior company had used with two that had the ACTUAL VOLTAGE NEEDED. In addition, James helped quickly make the upstairs room cooler with the flick of a vent, gave great advice and refused to upsell me on any unnecessary work. He was clear, kind and transparent. James Butler and Butler Heating and Air will be my first call for all future air conditioning and heating needs. Thanks James!
I hadn't had my 2 Rheem AC units serviced in years and one started to get loud and not be able to keep up in the heat. I thought my negligence might have come back to bite me in an expensive way. James came out and serviced both units, replaced solenoids, added coolant and their working like new now. James knows his stuff and I thought the price was fair. Highly recommend!
Great HVAC companies are so hard to find and I finally found one. Butler Heating & Air is great! They are quick to respond to phone calls, on time to appointments, and their prices are good.
